This body of work came out as a spontaneous explosion upon returning home from hospital after suffering a stroke, when “out of the blue,” without any warning, I suddenly found myself lying on the floor of my studio, with my life flashing before my eyes, and wondering if I'd just written my final chapter.

A week later, back home, once more sitting in front of my computer, looking back to that particular moment, I felt an urgent need to turn the page and push on with my visionary voyage through life.

The images within this gallery are the result of this overwhelming emotion, and serve as a kind of summary of my life's work so far, a grouping together of the various elements that have stimulated my creativity over the years.

Reality mutated into fantasy, industrial aerial photography transformed into a kaleidoscopic organised chaos, mixed with a touch of adrenalin, confusion and optical illusion – a synthesis of my life flashing before my eyes!.

The subject choice is also relevant within the overall context,  “industry and transport” as seen from above; fishing boats and motorway barriers, factories and oil duct pipes, car parks and railway stations. The normal things in life, that we tend to take for granted, that all of a sudden, through fate or circumstance, take on a whole new meaning.

Questa galleria di lavori è uscita come un’esplosione spontanea, al mio ritorno a casa dall'ospedale dove ero ricoverato dopo essere stato colpito da un ictus, quando dal nulla e senza preavviso, mi sono trovato sdraiato per terra, con la mia vita che passava davanti agli occhi, domandandomi se stavo scrivendo il mio ultimo capitolo.

Una settimana più avanti, di nuovo a casa e seduto davanti al computer, pensando a quel momento particolare, ho sentito una necessità urgente di girare pagina, e portare avanti il mio viaggio visionario attraverso questo vita.

Le immagini all'interno di questa galleria, sono il risultato di questa travolgente emozione, e può essere considerata una sorta di sommario dei miei lavori fino ad ora, un insieme di vari elementi che hanno stimolato la mia creatività durante questi anni.

Realtà mutata in fantasia, fotografie aeree industriali trasformati in un kaliedoscopic di caos ordinata, misto con un tocco di adrenalina, confusione e illusione ottica, una sintesi della mia vita che passa davanti agli occhi!.

La scelta del contenuto è anche rilevante nel contesto totale, “industria e trasporto” visto dall'alto; barche da pesca e barriere dell'autostrada, fabbriche e tubi dell'oleodotto, parcheggi di macchine e stazioni del treno. Le cose normali della vita, che abbiamo la tendenza di considerare banali, scontate, ma in un certo momento tra destino o circostanza, prendono un nuovo significato.
